This is perhaps one of the most well written user experiences I've read for a game I didn't care about. I've read many in my day, but I'm sold on Left 4 Dead now. Online is going to be insane.
Think that the levels and gameplay of LBP, is what will make it a fun title. It's going to be the innovation coming from the LBP community. Very similar to what players of FORZA 2 do when they do all that custom car paint stuff. Some of which are really amazing, and jealousy inducing. So for me, when I do get a chance to play LBP I'm looking for the user generated levels. I'll check it out as my friend is creaming himself for this game on his PS3.
has a right to showcase his preferences. I think sometimes in watching his shows, there isn't really a distinct point he's trying to get to unless it's pro one console over the others. That's why it comes off as being PS3 fanboyish.
For instance the very title of this thread has not credibility to it. Microsoft when they do "copy" it's usually something that works and is successful. The problem with LBP, (and most PS3 titles), you get alot of hype and then they land wit...
I doubt is on M$ radar. $ony needs this game to be stellar and move units. That's what would make M$ care. Especially when you have community gaming, where there could be numerous regular joes working on something that could be just as inspiring. Sort of like "Braid". Not a game you find on PSN. Not saying that "Braid" is on the same level as LBP, but the point is innovation is not the sole property of $ony. If that were true, PSN online would have been better by now, or c...
Cracking Japan is doing better than you did a year ago. Progress is a slow process, and Microsoft has time. The Xbox 360 isn't getting less software. In fact looking at the rpgs both western and eastern, it makes sense the system begins to be better looked upon and purchased in Japan.
To be honest I think Japanese gamers are missing out on some great titles. So it's really there loss, because I don't live there. Hopefully Microsoft will deliver and say in the end that Japan was ...
I'm waiting to pick up those games at bargain prices also. Otherwise I would have had NG2. I don't think anyone should look to Sony fanboys on prediction about sales. Its like listening to speech from Pres George Bush. You learn nothing, Wonder how they got there, and when are they ever right???? So you shouldn't listen.
NG2 from playing my friends version is good, I just refuse to finish it till I get my own.
With your logic will remain better than Killzone 2 then...I don't see anything innovative in any of the gameplay videos I've been watching. In fact as a shooter it is not in an enviable position. I want the game to good, but all the hate, and wrong breakdowns of what makes Halo 3 not good really make me wonder what PS3 fans expect out of a shooter.
For instance I was watching one 20 minute long video, and I believe you get into a tank, and honestly it didn't excite me watching it...
What I've been thinking all along. You will not see Blu-ray in the next Xbox it's going to be HD-DVD, combined with digital distribution both of which on a higher plane (better tech).
You keep in mind that for gaming it has more than enough space, and Microsoft has shown that on the software, programming side the system will be solid. Built well for developers, and powerful. The real question is will it be a bit more innovative for gaming? HD-DVD will be cheaper to produce, brin...
For more reviews, and gamer impressions. The game looks like its pretty fun. Not hating on IGN, but an overall impression is a better influence.
This bodes well that the 360 is getting so many rpg's both western and eastern. The longer the system stays around the more likely there will be gems. Hopefully this is one of them...
But at the same time, I am just waiting to tear the plastic wrap of the box. So I don't want to spoil it by playing early getting caught up and told "can I play next?". No fcccker I need more time!
That's all you ever read from fanboys when it comes to the PS3. No matter what a developer says or proves they have to wave a "but, wait" flag...The developers of an incredible game said the storage device didn't add anything more. Bioshock is a great game no matter what. In a DVD9 format the game was stellar no Blu-ray needed for that. Who cares about extra textures or no compression. All of that even if so still dos not detract from the title being great regardless.
Wow when the Head honcho admits its mistakes makes it pretty hard to argue with. Yet I'm sure that many here will act like they know more about the PS3 health then the president of Sony corp.
Point is Nintendo always has had a better system model then all of their competitors past or present. They never lose money on hardware (Virtual Boy being the exception). Not even with the lackluster showing of the N64, and GC. So this is nothing new. I think it comes from Nintendo understan...
They said the same thing about Halo 2. "It's not a sequel it's Halo 1.5" Now Halo 3 isn't as good as Halo 2...Wow.
My take on Halo as a franchise is that it is damn good. In fact I made sure that I did not get sucked into the hype of just buying the game because of peoples opinions. I enjoyed Halo 1, but I was not that big of a fan. Yet for some reason I really enjoy Halo 3, and playing online is just great. You know you're into Halo when you go against the grain based ...
There is so much going on right now with Microsoft and the Xbox 360 that people are really reaching. They have plans that are being implemented in stages, and their plans for Halo as a series is going to surprise many people.
I find it laughable how folks like to hate the Halo franchise. When it has more than earned every bit of praise, and cent. There are not many games or franchises you can put its league. I don't listen to people who say things like "overrated" because...
coming out are fine. DLC is just a compliment to GTA4 which for many that I know can't wait. The other side to all this is the fact that people (fanboys) act like they are getting another GTA game this generation. Not only that, once the DLC is released it will be on the Xbox Live service for as long as there is Live. So if some people skip getting DLC, they can always do it in the spring when the drought comes, or summer. It doesn't just expire in December...Lol...Hilarity at it's finest. ...
I repeat do not believe Microsoft will release the next Xbox in the next two year span. Xboxoz made some good points, but there are factors which are happening right now affecting Microsoft's decision on releasing it's next console. In fact it has little to do with Nintendo, and Sony. In fact some of the ideas Microsoft thought they wouldn't be able to do this generation are happening, which is opening up room in development of these things. XNA and community gaming being one of these. ...
